‘Wii o’o’m niin - we love you.

Our Purpose:

To offer an elders/seniors gathering on WEAD Day, June 15th of each year.  The event will pull together the key teachings on respecting elders, keeping them safe to be shared with the local service organizations and Gitxsan communities. We are fortunate to have many community partners: Gitanyow Human Services Society, Gitanyow BC and Storytellers Foundation, Hazelton BC; Gitxsan Unlocking Aboriginal Justice, Gitksan Government Commission, local Gitksan health offices and social development programs.

We will offer monthly or bi-monthly presentations will be made to the elders and seniors groups, sharing local resources and there is an interest to have an elders group with members from each of the communities guide the CRN network.  We have started a Facebook page also called ‘Wii o’o’m niin - we love you. We love and respect our elders and seniors as well to help share infomration.

Purple is the theme color of the CRN events, so we ordered tshirts and had "It’s Not Right. Nee di hogyax’t. ‘Wii o’o’m niin - we love you" on the front. They were well received! Not Right.

We will be adding up more information as it comes up!
